Travel without breaking the rules
Before boarding a train, you must have a valid ticket that has been stamped or validated.
It is a simple rule to avoid committing an offence.
Extract from Decree 2019-726 of 9 July 2019:
"It is forbidden for any person to enter an area to which access is reserved for holders of a ticket or to travel in a vehicle used for public passenger transport without a valid ticket. Furthermore and if necessary, the passenger will have carried out any operations incumbent on him or her, such as but not limited to: stamping or validation of the ticket or affixing of any handwritten notes to the ticket."
RESPECT THE RULES:
Before boarding a train, you must have a ticket, which you are to keep in good condition until you leave the station.
To ensure compliance with the rules, you must be able to present:
- your validated ticket
- proof to justify any reduction
- an identity document for tickets that bear your name
