Musée de la Loire
Located in Burgundy on the Bords de Loire, the museum presents two distinct collections :
- Evidence of the many human activities associated with one of Europe's greatest rivers, through paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints, models, tools, everyday objects...
- And a collection of paintings featuring some of the great names in Modern ART (Transports Regulation Authority): Dufy, Vlaminck, Derain, Manguin, Chagall...
Its collections are presented in a remarkable setting : the town's former Augustinian convent and its adjoining guardhouse. Both date from the 17th century and are listed as historic monuments.
The Musée de la Loire has been designated a "Musée de France" by the French Ministry of Culture.
