Museum Magnin
Come and discover the Museum National Magnin, a house-museum unique in France, and enter the intimacy of art collectors.
The Hôtel Lantin (1663-1664), a former private mansion in the heart of Dijon, just a stone's throw from the Palace of the Dukes and States of Burgundy, has been a listed historic monument since 1939. Opened to the public in 1938, it houses the collection assembled between 1881 and 1935 by Maurice Magnin (1861-1939), with the help of his sister Jeanne (1855-1937). The museum features works by the French, Italian, Flemish, Dutch, English and Scandinavian schools from the 16th to the 19th centuries. But also sculptures, objets d'art and furniture, as well as a collection of over 600 drawings exhibited in rotation.
Regular events include guided tours, lectures, shows and concerts in the museum's halls and courtyard. More information on their website.
