La Saline Royale d'Arc-et-Senans
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Royal Salt Works of Arc-et-Senans is a former factory dedicated to salt production.
The Saline Royale functioned as an integrated factory, housing almost the entire working community. Built in the shape of an arc of a circle, it housed both production and living quarters - 11 buildings in all. Inside, you'll find four permanent exhibitions : Musée Claude Nicolas Ledoux, Histoires de sel, Le Centre de Lumières and Une Mémoire du lieu.
Each year, enjoy a series of events that make this emblematic Doubs site a cultural Mecca: exhibitions, Garden Festival, Concerts, Children's activities, Innovative Experiences...
