TRAVEL IN COMPLIANCE, AVOID A FINE

Before boarding the Train, you must have a valid ticket.

A simple rule to avoid Fine fines.

Extract Decree 2019-726 of July 9, 2019 :

"It is forbidden for any person to enter a space to which access is reserved for holders of a transport ticket or to travel in a vehicle assigned to the public transport of passengers, without being in possession of a valid transport ticket."

Be in good standing

Before Boarding the train

you must be in possession of a ticket.

On board the Train

you must be able to show your ticket and proof of discount.

Exiting the Train

You must keep your ticket in good condition until you Exit the station.

Paying the fine Fares

If you are not in order when you board (no ticket or invalid ticket), the ticket inspector will proceed to Paying the fine. The amount to be paid on board is always higher than the amount paid in advance via SNCF sales channels. On certain Lines, Paying the fine is only possible at the control Fares, i.e. a minimum of €50.

Frequently asked questions

    • Without ticket and immediate payment to ticket inspector : 50€ (plus ticket price for journeys over 101km)
    • Without a ticket and immediate payment to the ticket inspector : a fine of between 120€ and 170€ depending on the distance
    • Invalid ticket or discount: 35€ (plus ticket price for journeys over 150km)
    • Pass not validated: 5€
  • All TER Bourgogne Franche-Comté tickets (excluding season tickets) are valid for 1 day only. However, it is possible to buy a ticket for one train and use it on another. And you don't have to change your ticket. The important thing is to stay on the same day and on the same route. For example, you can buy a ticket for the TER n° 891244 Auxerre 9h50 - Paris and take the TER n° 891204 Auxerre 11h40 - Paris.

    Fares tickets issued in booklets of 10 are valid for 1 year.
