Bike reservations for journeys between Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and neighbouring regions.

Important

Where a reservation is not compulsory, access to bicycles is possible, subject to availability.

On some TER lines serving Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and neighbouring regions, the rules for bike reservations may change.
Below, you will find the conditions applicable for journeys to or from each region bordering Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Southern Provence–Alpes–Côte d’Azur Region

Bike reservations are required from 1 May to 27 September, including weekends, public holidays, 15 May, and every day from 1 July to 31 August. A fee of €1 applies to all passengers, except season ticket holders on their designated route.

3 lines are affected:

  • Lyon - Avignon - Marseille
  • Romans - Valence - Gap - Briançon
  • Grenoble - Gap

OCCITANIE

From 1 May to 27 September, bike reservations will apply to all travellers, except for season ticket holders on their season ticket route, on weekends, public holidays and 15 May, as well as every day from 1 July to 31 August.

2 lines are affected:

  • Toulouse - Figeac - Aurillac: free reservation. Please note that in the Occitanie area (between Toulouse and Figeac), subscribers must also make a reservation. Find out more here.
  • Clermont-Ferrand - Nîmes: €1 reservation. Within the Occitanie section (between Nîmes and Langogne), season-ticket holders must also make a reservation. Find out more here.

NOUVELLE‑AQUITAINE

From 1 May to 27 September, bike reservations will apply to all travellers, except for season ticket holders on their season ticket route, at weekends, on public holidays and on 15 May, as well as every day from 1 July to 31 August.

  • 1 line is affected: Aurillac - Brive: €1 reservation
  • Montluçon - Guéret - Limoges: more information

CENTRE‑VAL DE LOIRE

From 1 May to 27 September, bike reservations will apply to all travellers. Season ticket holders in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are not affected by reservations on their season ticket route.

2 lines are affected:

  • Montluçon - Bourges - Vierzon: €1 reservation on weekends, public holidays and 15 May
  • Lyon - Tours: €1 reservation on weekends, public holidays and 15 May, as well as daily from 1 July to 31 August.

BOURGOGNE–FRANCHE‑COMTÉ

All year round, bike reservations are compulsory and free for all passengers on the following line:

From 1 May to 27 September, bike reservations are mandatory and subject to a €1 charge for all travellers, except for subscribers on their subscription route, on weekends, public holidays and 15 May, as well as every day from 1 July to 31 August.

4 lines are affected:

  • Lyon - Mâcon
  • Clermont-Ferrand – Nevers
  • Lyon – Bourg en Bresse – Belfort (reservation required between Lyon and Bourg en Bresse)
  • Clermont-Ferrand – Montchanin (reservation required between Clermont-Ferrand and Dompierre Sept Fons)

No reservation required. Bikes are accepted subject to available space on the Lyon – Paray-le-Monial – Nevers line.
