An immersive experience at a depth of 20 metres

Located 20 metres beneath the cobblestones of Arras, the Wellington Quarry is a place steeped in memory and emotion. From November 1916, the British were preparing for the spring offensive in 1917. Their ingenious idea was to have New Zealand tunnel diggers link up the town's medieval chalk quarries to create a network of underground barracks capable of housing up to 24,000 soldiers.
