LILLE OPERA

The wooden chalets of the Lille Christmas Village will return to Place Rihour, welcoming traders, artisans, and producers eager to share their know-how and specialties. Open to all, this event invites you to experience a magical moment with our exhibitors. Enjoy the musical and light displays to marvel at. Discover chalets featuring decorations, jewelry, games, food, and of course, Santa Claus! There will be light and musical strolls on Friday evenings, as well as workshops for children every Wednesday afternoon.

Since its reopening in 2004, Lille Opera has established itself as a leading opera house on a national scale.
Under the impetus of its director Caroline Sonrier, it is implementing a project whose primary ambition is openness: openness to all repertoires, openness to current creative aesthetics and emerging artists, openness to all audiences, openness to all areas of the region and beyond, etc.
From season to season, the project brings together a wide audience around an original and demanding programme, anchoring opera, dance and the messages they convey in the imagination of an increasingly attentive public. Lille Opera was awarded the label of Théâtre Lyrique d'Intérêt National in January 2017 for all of its missions.
