Discovering Lille

The Grand Place

The historic square: This is Lille's historic square, a must-see for any self-respecting visitor, and for Lilleers too! Also known as the Place du Général de Gaulle, it often has a Ferris wheel in the middle.

The Town Hall Belfry

With the Hôtel de Ville Belfry, you kill two birds with one stone. You're visiting a Unesco World Heritage site, and you're treating yourself to the luxury of a 104-metre-high panoramic view of Lille. If the weather is fine, you can even see the Monts des Flandres.

A stroll through the old town of Lille

Old Lille has been remarkably well restored and can be explored on foot: the rue de la Bourse, the rue des Chats bossus, the Place du Lion d'or, the rue des Vieux-Murs around the Treille cathedral, the delightful 17th-century merchants' houses, all in brick and stone...

Citadelle Park

The Parc de la Citadelle, a former fortified town designed by Vauban, is now Lille's largest green space. Recently refurbished, it offers a pleasant family day out.

The Zoo of Lille

Lille Zoo, also known as the Bois de Boulogne Zoo, reopened at the beginning of 2018 after renovation work, and is located at the heart of the Parc de la Citadelle.
It is home to 450 animals of 110 different species.

The Tripostal

Lille's former postal sorting office, right next to the station, is home to a 6,000m², 3-storey exhibition space devoted to contemporary art. This temporary exhibition space has become a benchmark throughout France.
