Bike Ticket compulsory from May 1 to September 27, 2026 for bicycles and scooters
More and more Passengers, travellers want to take the TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine train with their bike. To meet this demand and make your journey easier, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and SNCF Voyageurs have set up a bicycle system from May 1 to September 27, 2026.
During this period, bicycle and scooter reservations (for all electric scooters over 1 meter long) are compulsory on 11 lines to ensure the comfort of all Passenger, travellers.
From May 1, to travel with your bike on the TER, you will need a Bike Ticket on the following 11 lines :
Line 15: La Rochelle | Rochefort | Saintes | Bordeaux
Line 16: Angoulême | Saintes | Royan
Line 31: Bordeaux | Périgueux | Limoges
Line 32: Bordeaux | Périgueux | Brive | Ussel
Line 33: Bordeaux | Bergerac | Sarlat
Line 41+ and 41: Libourne | Bordeaux | Arcachon
Line 42: Le Verdon | Macau | Bordeaux / Pessac
Line 44: Bordeaux | Langon | Marmande | Agen
Line 51: Bordeaux | Dax | Bayonne | Hendaye
Line 52: Bordeaux | Dax | Pau | Tarbes
Line 53: Hendaye | Bayonne | Pau | Tarbes
This €3 reservation is compulsory on all trains for all occasional Passengers, travellers. Passenger, travellers with a season ticket (see details+) do not need to make a reservation on the route covered by their season ticket.
They can still take their bikes or scooters with them, subject to availability.
A VéloZEN service will complete the system on 4 Lines. The VéloZEN service offers additional comfort for Passengers, travellers taking the Train with their bikes.
You entrust your bike or scooter to an agent as you board the Train, and collect it at your destination station.
This service requires reservation and costs 3 euros.
This service is available on certain trains of the Lines :

Line 41+ and 41 : Libourne | Bordeaux | Arcachon
Line 42 : Le Verdon | Macau | Bordeaux / Pessac

With Cycling 2026, there's a place for your bike!
For both services, reservations is made from the same booking platform, independent of the purchase of the Train ticket. To travel legally with your bike on TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains, you need both a bike ticket and a Passenger, traveller ticket. If there are no more bike reservations available on the Train you wish to use, we invite you to transfer to another Train or to park your bike at the station.
On other TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine lines, the number of authorized bicycle places is limited to the number of places available.
Choose off-peak trains.
In the event of overcrowding, an SNCF employee may arrange for you to be transferred to another train.

You can cancel your Bike Ticket up to the day before departure. Refunds will be made to the credit card used for payment.
You can travel with your bike on the train for several days, but you need to buy a Bike ticket for each train.
The Bike Ticket is not compulsory for TER subscribers who wish to take their bicycles on board the train on the route covered by their subscription.
The Bicycle Ticket is an authorization to travel with your bicycle on the Train, subject to available seats.
If the train you are taking is eligible for the VéloZEN service, and you have purchased a VéloZEN ticket, you are guaranteed a seat on the train.
